In the 1950’s houses were still being developed in the area – for example a house was built on The Drive in 1952. The land having been sold to Francis William King in 1946

‘Service Road’ developed

Photograph of a local resident in 1956 – on his first day of Cassiobury School. The pile of bricks on left in background was for the building of 306 Hempstead Road (Service Road) which was bought by S J Cooper in 1957.
